Dear John

Any real student of the game of golf in Melbourne town should have heard the name John Furze in the field of coaching.

I'm an old guy who has had great pleasure getting into the Furze mould over the past seven years.

How can he possibly retain his sense of humour I'm darned if I know.

Seven years I hear you say, well in that time that anchor around the neck has reduced from 24 to currently 15 which prompts the question, is this guy any good at his craft?

I don't believe John Furze has any secrets at all, he does however have a profound interest in getting better results for his pupils.

How does this happen?

Well, he realizes every golfer is built differently, maybe has different ailments, advantages and strengths which is not a bad spot to have.

My adventure to golf was quite astonishing. I started playing golf again last May, 2007, and in one word it was a disgrace, I found myself playing zig zag golf and finding every tree possible.

So I seeked out some lessons locally and that was to No Avail.

I was recommended to a prominent place in Dingly and after about 10 lessons and hours of practicing, the golf wasn't inmproving.

Norman Von Nida (PGA Australia)

Norman Von Nida won the Australian Open three times and was runner-up six times.

The British Open was in his sight on several occasions with him leading three times into the final round. He has won about 100 tournaments worldwide and set numerous course records.

I am a bit late with this but better later than never. About you and I. I feel we could not be any closer if we were in the same room rather than half a world apart.

We are on the same wave length. We believe the same thing. We teach the same thing.
