Address Position versus Impact Position

How often have you heard or read that at impact, the golfer should return to the address position. This is incorrect. I have heard and read this many times.

Look at any Golf Professional and you will see that, address position and impact position are completely different. If there is one single “imperative” in the golf stroke it is the correct impact position.

The single most important difference is that the left wrist is bent and the right wrist is flat at address but at impact the left wrist must be flat and the right wrist bent. This is one of the three imperatives of the golf swing.
